Chapelton are offering group of 10 animals at the United Auctions sale in Stirling on October 22nd. Two yearling sons of Cavans Yankee and a draft of heifers including Chapelton Honeysuckle, winner of the junior heifer class at this years Royal Highland Show. Animals are listed by age.
Bulls
Chapelton Esquire, a roan, polled son of Cavans Yankee was shown at the Highland Show this year and placed fourth in a class of 15 young bulls. His dam, Duchess 2403 is one of our best young cows by Typhoon and a full sister to Braveheart, Covenanter and Duke, all stock bulls in pedigree herds .
He passed a semen test on the 9/10/12 .
Esquire was Reserve Champion and was sold for 3,700gns to Messrs Maclennnan, Granton.
Heifers
Chapelton June 3631, by Glenisla Banqo and out of a daughter of the influential Tofts Romany. She is also in-calf to Stonehills X Factor.
She sold for 2,000gns to Messrs Burns.
Chapelton Veronica 3660 is from the family which produced the 2008 Perth Champion Zodiac. Sired by Banqo and from a daughter of Cavans Yankee she is scanned in-calf to X Factor. Veronica is a correct and particularly feminine heifer destined to be a great female.
Veronica sold for 2,200gns to D. Fraser and Son, Strathpeffer.
Chapelton Ruthie 3666, a white daughter of Banqo is in-calf to X Factor . Her sire, Typhoon has sired four February champions in the last five years.
She sold for 1,600gns.
Chapelton Honeysuckle 3719. An outstanding Banqo daughter from the high performing Honeysuckle family. She won the young heifer class at his years Highland Show and is scanned in calf to Dunsyre North Star.
Honeysuckle sold for 13,000gns, breaking the record for a Shorthorn female sold at auction. She was purchased by Alan & Helen Haigh from Market Rasen.
