Stirling Sales – Angus & Shorthorn Bulls

At the Stirling Bull Sales this February we had forward five Shorthorn and two Angus bulls. We also had a draft of Shorthorn females which can be viewed here.

All the bulls entered were successfully fertility tested on 17/12/13.

Shorthorn Bulls

Chapelton Founder
A Banqo son and from a Cheerleader mother who was sired by Yankee, Founder is a stylish and structurally correct roan.

Founder was sold privately outwith the ring to Richard De Klee of Achnacraig, Mull.

Chapelton Franklin
An exceptionally well musclued roan bull of medium frame size.

Franklin joined at the Crofter’s Commisson Knocknagael stud in Inverness for 3,800 gns.

Chapelton Franciscan
A roan Yankee son out of Typhoon sired Veronica mother. We believe this stylish roan bull to be our best bull forward at this year’s sale.

Franciscan went to join the Hugill family’s pedigree herd in Yorkshire for 5,000 gns.

Chapelton Frontier
A polled, roan son of Banqo combines great length and muscling.

Frontier sold for 7,000 gns to Bob Morris of Over Buttergask, Perthshire for commercial cross-breeding.

Chapelton Ferdinand
Another polled, roan son of Banqo, Ferdinand also combines length and muscling.

Ferdinand was sold for 10,000 gns to join Morrison’s Rothesay herd at Dumfries House.

 Angus Bulls

Homebred Chapelton steers, sired by homebred Chapelton bulls have won the Scotbeef Marks & Spencer Aberdeen Angus Finishing Competition for the last two years which underlines our firm focus on commercial traits and profitability.

Chapelton Evoque sold to a commercial buyer while the fouth place Petrarch, who was unsold in the ring, remains for sale at home.
