Draft Pick joined the Chapelton Angus herd in late-2020. He has sired over 196 calves and is still in use.
Draft Pick fits with our aim of breeding more easily managed cattle without compromising on output. He is a Trait Leader for Calving Ease and Eye Muscle Area, boasts good growth rates, and has moderate Mature Cow Weight.
This means his calves are easily born, but still have good slaughter weights and grades. More importantly, his daughters boast these characteristics without requiring too much feed to maintain their body weight. Draft Pick’s full pedigree can be found here.
We are very pleased with his daughters, and have retained sons for use over our Commercial Cows.
