We select our Angus bulls carefully to ensure that we are only offering our customers the very best calves. This gives us confidence that our bulls will get the job done, and to stand behind them if our customers have any issues.
Our Angus and Shorthorn bulls spend their first winter together, and any calves which are not keeping pace with the group or show anything which gives us concern are removed. The remaining bulls are fertility tested at around 13 months old.
The best Angus bulls are often retained for use in our commercial herd of Angus-Shorthorn cross cows. We are delighted to show people these cows so they can see how our pedigree genetics work in a commercial environment. All of our mature commercial cows calf outside on bale-grazing.
