We typically have groups of Angus, Shorthorn, and Commercial heifers for sale each year. The commercial heifers are bred using home-bred Chapelton bulls. Our Breeding Philosophy page has more details on how we select them.
The commercial heifers always sell directly from farm. Our customers prefer this because of the health benefits of avoiding a market. They also enjoy seeing the herds, and seeing how the heifers will turn out. All three of our Angus, Shorthorn, and Commercial herds have the same Health Status.
We typically sell our Angus heifers off farm too, and we sometimes offer pedigree Shorthorn heifers at Stirling Bull Sales or at Longtown. A broader selection will always be available on-farm though.
We are always on-hand to guide customers should they wish, and we have helped several customers move from continental to native-bred cattle. We encourage customers to view our cow herd and to see the system we operate.

Can We Help?
We market our heifers free of the bull. We can run them with a Chapelton bull post-sale if a customer wishes.
We regularly sell heifers for use as embryo recipients because of their Health Status. We can test animals prior to sale if customers require this.
Yes, we can assist with delivery of either individual animals or groups up to three within Dumfries and Galloway. We will help organise transport for larger numbers or animals with further to travel.
