Our Shorthorn bulls are carefully selected from each years’ crop, and only the very best are offered for sale. We apply signifiant selection pressure which allows us to set a very high standard with only 1/3 being registered.
Our Shorthorn genetics have always been a critical component of our Shorthorn-Angus commercial cross cows. Several home-bred shorthorn bulls work in this herd each year. Their female progeny are retained or sold for breeding, and their male progeny are finished for slaughter.
This means we have insight into the commercial application of our Shorthorn bloodlines from conception to carcase. We are one of very few Shorthorn breeders who have the opportunity to incorporate that understanding into our pedigree breeding.
This gives us confidence that our annual offering of Shorthorn bulls are fit to produce profit for our customers regardless of any show ring fashions.
