The Chapelton team were pleased to experiance success at the Stirling Bull Sales this year. Emir won his class and alongside Exemplar won the pairs. They were then joined by Emissary, and together took the group of three. Our other bulls shown stood third and fouth in their respective classes.
Our greatest succes came with Chapelton Exemplar, who stood Supreme Champion after winning his class and the Intermediate Championship. He sold to Selby Robson, Otterburn for 8,000 gns.
We also experianced success with our females. Ariel and Secret Sally were second and third in their class which was won by a Ballyvaddy heifer with Chapelton on both sides of her pedigree. Ariel then went on to claim Reserve overall female behind the Ballyvaddy female. Secret Sally was the highest priced female, selling for 2,400 to M. Lamb, Peterhead.
While our own Angus bulls sold away to commercial buyers, two other Chapelton sons experienced greater success. The Moss Flodden, a Chapelton Eventer son won his class and went on to sell for 5,000 gns while David Evans’ Chapelton Dark Mahmoud son, Tree Bridge Plumpton sold for 7,000 gns.
