Angus Shorthorn Sales

Angus Bull for Carlisle Sale May 2021

We have entered Dauphin, a March 2019-born Angus bull, for the sale at Carlisle on 22 May 2021. He is fit to cover a large group of cows this summer.

He was born unassisted weighing 44kgs. His dam, Diamond Mist, has a perfect temperament score over 6 years of recording. She was born in 2013 and has had 7 calves. She received slight assistance as a 2yo heifer, but has calved unassisted since then. Her calves have an average birthweight of 42kgs.

His sire, Chapelton Danzig, has produced almost 120 calves across our pedigree and commercial herds. His calves have an average birthweight of 38.4kgs. 23 of his progeny have been slaughtered at Scotbeef with an average age of 21 months. The steers had an average carcase weight of 313 kgs.

We will retain a further group of his daughters in our commercial herd this year. We also have a group of Angus and Shorthorn bulls available for sale that were born in 2019. You can find more details about them here.

You can contact James Biggar for more details here. We hope to post images or video of Dauphin and our other young Angus and Shorthorn bulls soon.
